This recipe originally says to cook the pork chops 3-4 minutes on each side. My personal preference is to cook them longer, because I think cooking them in so short a time makes them tough. Just my opinion. Feel free to experiment with the cooking time. Recipe & photo: tasteofhome.com/simple 01-11-15

  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup ground almonds
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
  • 2 - eggs, beaten
  • 4 - boneless pork loin chops, 3/4" thick

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon honey, optional
  • - minced chives

How To Make almond-crusted chops with cider sauce

  • Step 1
In a shallow bowl mix bread crumbs and ground almonds. In another shallow bowl mix flour and 1/4 tsp. salt. Place eggs in a separate shallow bowl.
  • Step 2
Dip pork chops in flour to coat both sides; shake off excess. Dip in egg, then in crumb mixture, patting to help coating adhere.
  • Step 3
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add pork chops, cook 12-15 minutes on each side. Remove from skillet; keep warm. Wipe skillet clean.
  • Step 4
In same skillet over medium heat, combine apple cider, cream cheese, remaining salt and, if desired, honey. Cook and stir 2 minutes. Serve with pork chops; sprinkle with chives.
