creamy dreamy bacon carbonara
This recipe is a bit different for me. I'm usually a red sauce kind of gal. But the picture looks so yummy I had to adopt this and tweak it just a bit. Recipe: Guest & photo by Emma 07-06-14

Ingredients
- 8 to 10 slices bacon
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 1/8 cups heavy cream
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 2 - eggs
- 2 ounces parmesan cheese
- 16 ounces fettuccini
How To Make creamy dreamy bacon carbonara

Step 1Cut the bacon into approximately 1/2" strips and fry over medium heat.

Step 2In the meantime, cook the fettuccine according to package directions.

Step 3When the bacon is almost done, add the garlic and cook about 1 minute. Add the cream and salt and pepper to the pan with bacon and garlic. Simmer until thick and creamy.

Step 4Whisk together the eggs and Parmesan in a small bowl.

Step 5When the pasta is cooked, drain and add it to the pan with the bacon and cream sauce. Stir to combine. Add the egg and Parmesan to the pan and stir again. Serve immediately with more Parmesan sprinkled on top, if desired.
