swiss 'n' chicken bake
Such an easy dish to make when you're rushed, and hearty, filling, and tasty too. You could add your favorite vegetables instead of, or in addition to, the celery. The original recipe came from Kraft, though I have added some changes of my own. Photo: kraftrecipes.com 11-09-14

Ingredients
- 4 cups chopped cooked chicken
- 2 cups croutons
- 1-1/2 cup shredded swiss cheese
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 stalks celery, sliced
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/3 cup sliced almonds
How To Make swiss 'n' chicken bake

Step 1In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Place into a 2-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray.

Step 2Sprinkle almonds over top of mixture.

Step 3Bake in a preheated 350º oven for 40 minutes or until heated through.

Step 4NOTE: You may substitute 3 cans (12.5 oz.ea.) of chicken breast, drained and flaked, for the chopped cooked fresh chicken.
