Ingredients

2 Tbsponion powder

2 Tbspgarlic powder

1 tspcrushed red pepper flakes

FOR THE SAUCE
-
1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed
-
3/4 capple cider vinegar
-
1/4 c7 up soda
-
2 Tbspsoy sauce, low sodium
-
2 tspcornstarch
-
2 tspwater
-
1 bunchgreen onions
-
·sesame seeds
How to Make Skillet Sweet Garlic Chicken
- Season breast and thighs with onion and garlic powder, salt and pepper set aside.
- In a mixing bowl combine the brown sugar, vinegar, soda, minced garlic. Stir until the brown sugar is dissolved.
- Heat a skillet with a quarter cup of olive oil and brown breast and thighs well. Remove and set aside in a warm oven.
- Pour sauce into the same skillet, leave the num nums and simmer until it coats the back of your spoon. Add cornstarch and water mixture.
- Once sauce is thickened return chicken pieces and simmer 10 minutes. Cut off the heat, let sit covered 10 more minutes.
- Plate chicken, pour the sauce over all and sprinkle with chopped onion, red pepper and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
