Grandma always made all her stock , even if it was Vegetable, Beef, or even fish. The stores didn't have ready made stock even if they did Grandma's was better and tasted better, I;m so glad to get her recipe

Ingredients

whole chicken
3 stalk(s)
celery chopped

onion quarted
2 to 3
carrots chopped
s & p to taste

Step-By-Step

1Place chicken, celery, onion, and carrots in a large stock pot. Cover with water and bring to a rolling boil.
2Skim off excess fat reduce heat and simmer and cook 2 to 3 hours.
3Remove chicken and vegetables strain soup using cheese cloth.
