Chicken and rice go together like . . . bacon and eggs? pork chops and applesauce? salt and pepper? Well, anyway, they go together in my kitchen any day of the week! I love the Parmesan cheese in this dish rather than the usual cheddar. Recipe: recipe.com 02-17-15

Ingredients
- 1 package (6 oz.) long grain and wild rice mix
- 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
- 1 stalk celery, chopped (1/2 cup)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 can (10 oz.) condensed chicken with white and wild rice soup - or - cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup dry white wine - or - chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons snipped fresh basil - or - 1/2 tsp. dried basil, crushed
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 1/3 cup finely shredded parmesan cheese
How To Make chicken and wild rice bake

Step 1Prepare rice mix according to package directions.

Step 2Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook onion and celery in hot butter over medium heat until tender.

Step 3Stir in soup, sour cream, wine and basil. Stir in cooked rice and chicken.

Step 4Transfer mixture to an ungreased 2-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.

Step 5Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350º oven for 35 minutes or until heated through.
