Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 - egg beaten
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- GRAVY
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 large onion sliced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons cold water
How To Make eddie's salisbury steak with mushroom ( for 4)

Step 1Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg and salt and pepper in a bowl until mixed evenly. Shape meat mixture into 4 patties 3/4 inch thick.

Step 2Fry patties in a large skillet over medium heat until browned on both sides 10 minutes Add beef broth, sliced onion, and mushrooms bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low cover and simmer until patties are no longer pink in center

Step 3Transfer patties to a platter and keep warm.

Step 4Bring onion mushroom mixture to a boil ( mix cornstarch with cold water in a small bowl ) stir into onion mushroom mixture.

Step 5Cook and stir until gravy thickens 1 minute or so. Pour over patties and serve. Serve with mashed potatoes and peas or rice.
