This is another great Salisbury Steak recipe. It is for 4 people and can be made ahead of time is freezes very well.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 - egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • GRAVY
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons cold water

How To Make eddie's salisbury steak with mushroom ( for 4)

  • Step 1
    Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg and salt and pepper in a bowl until mixed evenly. Shape meat mixture into 4 patties 3/4 inch thick.
  • Step 2
    Fry patties in a large skillet over medium heat until browned on both sides 10 minutes Add beef broth, sliced onion, and mushrooms bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low cover and simmer until patties are no longer pink in center
  • Step 3
    Transfer patties to a platter and keep warm.
  • Step 4
    Bring onion mushroom mixture to a boil ( mix cornstarch with cold water in a small bowl ) stir into onion mushroom mixture.
  • Step 5
    Cook and stir until gravy thickens 1 minute or so. Pour over patties and serve. Serve with mashed potatoes and peas or rice.
