Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 lb
    boneless beef round steak, cut into serving size portions
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 2 can(s)
    cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 c
    water
  • ·
    hot cooked noodles

How to Make Creamy Swiss Steak

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the flour, salt and pepper. Add beef, a few pieces at a time, and shake to coat. In a large skillet, brown beef in butter on both sides. Transfer to 3 qt. slow cooker, top with onion. Combine soup and water, pour over onion. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours until meat is tender. Serve with noodles.
