Ingredients For salmon steaks in lemon butter

  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    dry white wine
  • 1
    lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 tsp
    mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp
    dried dillweed
  • 4
    salmon steaks, 6 ounces each, 1 " thick
  • 2 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp
    cold water

How To Make salmon steaks in lemon butter

    Combine the first 6 ingredients in a large skillet; bring to a boil. Add steaks; cover, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Remove steaks to a serving platter, reserving the liquid in the skillet. Set steaks aside, and keep warm.

    Combine the cornstarch and water; stir well. Add to the liquid in the skillet; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is thickened and bubbly.

    Pour the liquid through a wire mesh strainer into a liquid measuring cup, discarding the lemon slices and mustard seeds. Pour the liquid over the steaks.
