I got this recipe from my sister Joann, who died about 10 years ago. She was a great southern cook and I'm very glad to share this with you.

Ingredients

  • 1 can red salon
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup green peppers chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cormeal
  • 2 cups soft bread crumbs
  • 2 - eggs beaten
  • 1 - onion minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

How To Make salmon loaf

  • Step 1
    drain and debone fish, flake fish with a fork mix all ingredients together then press into a greased shallow baking dish.
  • Step 2
    bake at 375 for 40 minutes.
