white chicken chili
My sister-in-law gave me this recipe. My husband doesn't normally like any chili that's white or has chicken in it (he says it's not natural- lol!)However, he loved this version! So this one is a keeper!

Ingredients
- 1 pound cooked chicken, diced (i used rotisserie chicken)
- 1 - onion, diced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 31 ounces great northern beans. drained and rinsed
- 14 1/2 ounces chicken broth
- 8 ounces canned green chilies
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 8 ounces sour cream or greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- TOPPINGS:
- - avocado
- - sour cream
- - monterey jack cheese
- - crushed tortilla chips
- - fresh cilantro
How To Make white chicken chili

Step 1Saute onions and garlic powder in olive oil until softened. Add chicken, beans, broth, chilies, salt, cumin, oregano, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.

Step 2Remove from heat, stir in sour cream and whipping cream. Heat slightly and serve.

Step 3*Serve with your choice of topping but is very good with all the ones listed above.
