My sister-in-law gave me this recipe. My husband doesn't normally like any chili that's white or has chicken in it (he says it's not natural- lol!)However, he loved this version! So this one is a keeper!

cooked chicken, diced (i used rotisserie chicken)
onion, diced
1 1/2 tsp
garlic powder
1 Tbsp
olive oil
31 oz
great northern beans. drained and rinsed
14 1/2 oz
chicken broth
8 oz
canned green chilies
1 tsp
1 tsp
ground cumin
1 tsp
dried oregano
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1/4 tsp
cayenne pepper
8 oz
sour cream or greek yogurt
1/2 c
whipping cream


sour cream
monterey jack cheese
crushed tortilla chips
fresh cilantro

How to Make White Chicken Chili


  • 1Saute onions and garlic powder in olive oil until softened. Add chicken, beans, broth, chilies, salt, cumin, oregano, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes.
  • 2Remove from heat, stir in sour cream and whipping cream. Heat slightly and serve.
  • 3*Serve with your choice of topping but is very good with all the ones listed above.
