Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless/skinless chicken thighs
- 1 cup full fat plain greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons garam masala indian seasoning
- 1 stick butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- salt and pepper
How To Make simplified butter chicken

Step 1Start by cutting chicken into bite size pieces, season with 1 tablespoon of the garam masala, add the cup of full fat plain Greek yogurt, combine well and place in a plastic bag. Marinade a few hours or over night.

Step 2In a non stick skillet put half stick of butter and the olive oil, over medium heat cook the chicken 5 mins.

Step 3Remove the chicken, set aside, in same skillet, add onions, garlic, ginger and tomatoes, cook about 5 mins.

Step 4Add in a blender and blend till to make the sauce

Step 5Add back into skillet, add remainder butter & garam masala, add in salt/pepper/chili powder & cream.

Step 6Add chicken back in, stir and cover, simmer about 30 mins. Serve with white rice & warm roti or warm Naan bread.
