In my older age I like to do my main meal in a crock-pot and when I come home all I have to do is add a few ingredients and dinner is ready. Everyone likes tacos and you can use chicken, or beef in place of the pork if you like.

Slow Cooker Crock Pot


2 lb
bonelss pork roast
1 c
salsa ( your choice hot or mild )
1 can(s)
( 4 oz ) chopped green chilies
1/2 tsp
garlic salt
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1 pkg
( 8-10 ) flour or corn tortillas
1 c
sour ream
tomato diced
1 c
mexican blend shredded cheese
2 c
shredded lettuce

How to Make Simple Shredded Pork Tacos


  • 1Place pork roast, salas, chilies, garlic, salt and pepper in a crock-pot ( slow cooker ) Cook on low for 8 hours or until meat is tender.
  • 2Remove meat from crock-pot , shred meat with 2 forks. Serve on flour tortillas with sauce, top with cheese, tomato, sour cream, lettuce, and salsa.
