simple shredded pork tacos

In my older age I like to do my main meal in a crock-pot and when I come home all I have to do is add a few ingredients and dinner is ready. Everyone likes tacos and you can use chicken, or beef in place of the pork if you like.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds bonelss pork roast
  • 1 cup salsa ( your choice hot or mild )
  • 1 can ( 4 oz ) chopped green chilies
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package ( 8-10 ) flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup sour ream
  • 1 - tomato diced
  • 1 cup mexican blend shredded cheese
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce

How To Make simple shredded pork tacos

  • Step 1
    Place pork roast, salas, chilies, garlic, salt and pepper in a crock-pot ( slow cooker ) Cook on low for 8 hours or until meat is tender.
  • Step 2
    Remove meat from crock-pot , shred meat with 2 forks. Serve on flour tortillas with sauce, top with cheese, tomato, sour cream, lettuce, and salsa.
