Shish Taouk (Shish Tawook)

This is a great Lebanese grilled chicken kabob recipe. You mix up the marinade, drop in the chicken and let it sit in the fridge for 24 hours. When ready to cook it, just thread it on skewers and grill it up. Enjoy! ;)

chicken breast, cut into 1" cubes
1 Tbsp
1 Tbsp
tomato paste
1 tsp
1/4 tsp
ground white pepper
1/8 tsp
ground ginger
5 clove
garlic, crushed
small onions, peeled and cut into chunks
3/4 c
lemon juice
1/2 c
olive oil

How to Make Shish Taouk (Shish Tawook)


  • 1Mix all ingredients and let marinate in refrigerator for 24 hours.
  • 2Thread onto skewers, alternating chicken and onion pieces. Grill over hot coals, turning several times, until tender. Takes about 8 minutes total. Serve hot.
