Italian Pulled Chicken Hoagies

I love chicken slow cooked shreds. So I started off with chicken in a crockpot, and took some italian pantry ingredients, toasted some garlic rolls, Then we enjoyed these hoagies.
Now thats italian!!!

chicken thighs, skinless and boneless
1 1/2 c
burgundy wine
18 oz
jar marinara
3/4 c
chopped onion
1/2 c
green pepper
chopped garlic clove
1 Tbsp
adobo powder
16 oz
pkg sliced mushrooms (optional)


any size rolls
italian seasonings or herbes de provance
garlic powder

How to Make Italian Pulled Chicken Hoagies


  • 1S&P chicken thighs both sides.
    Place on bottom of crockpot.
  • 2Combine rest of ingredients in bowl and whisk.
    Pour over chicken. Making sure chicken just covered (may have to add or subtract some sauce)
    Cover and set on low for 7-8 hrs.
    Shredd chicken with forks. Will shred easily.
  • 3Spread rolls with butter. Sprinkle with garlic powder and italian seasonings and toast in oven for a min.
  • 4Spread chicken mix on each roll and top with parm and enjoy!
