I admit it, I am a lazy cook. I am always wanting to find ways to have home cooking that it easy and prepared in a healthy manner. I experimented with this recipe for something low in calories and easy to make. Nothing like throwing something in a slow cooker and forgetting it. It does not get any simpler or better than this effortless meal. I make up 4 chicken breasts at a time and freeze them in individual servings.

Ingredients

  • 4 - boneless, skinless chicken breasts (frozen)
  • 1 cup frozen chopped onions
  • 1 can diced tomatoes, 14.5 oz. (can use type with seasonings)
  • 1 can tomatoe sauce, 8 oz.
  • 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons oregano, dried
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 cups water

How To Make effortless slower cooker chicken

  • Step 1
    In a large slow cooker, place frozen chicken breasts and frozen onions.
  • Step 2
    In a medium bowl add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour mixture over chicken in slow cooker.
  • Step 3
    Cook on high heat for 6 to 7 hours or until chicken is thoroughly cooked. Can be served over rice or pasta.
