chicken noodle stroganoff

I had some leftover chicken and crumbled bacon from another recipe, so I am making up a new recipe. I am confident that I can execute this dish, and it will be delicious! This is my skillet version. I wanted to make a stroganoff using chicken.

Ingredients

  • 1 can 14oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 1- 1/2 pounds leftover chicken. shredded or chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 16 ounces pkg. egg noodles
  • 1 package mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic. diced

How To Make chicken noodle stroganoff

  • Step 1
    Cook pasta until al'dente'. Drain pasta.
  • Step 2
    Heat oil on med/high heat. Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Saute' until onion is translucent and fragrant.
  • Step 3
    Reduce heat.Add in cream of Mushroom and sour cream to Skillet mixture. If it's too thick, add a little water or broth.Stir to combined.
  • Step 4
    Bring back up heat. Add in chicken and pasta. Mix thoroughly .
  • Step 5
    I topped with real cooked bacon crumbles. Happy Dinner!
