Just started cooking with the air fryer. Looked at a lot of recipes and kinda melded them together. Came out great! If ya like heat..spice.. you can add a bit more hot sauce and some cayenne pepper to the batter

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 2 chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

How To Make air fried chicken

  • Step 1
    Place buttermilk in dish ( sub 1 c milk with 1 TBS of vinegar mixed) and add hot sauce
  • Step 2
    place chicken in buttermilk hot sauce mix and give it a Roll.. Roll and keep skin side down. You can soak for 10 minutes or up to 24 hours before cooking The longer the better as to let the enzymes work
  • Step 3
    Place flour salt garlic powder thyme sage in bowl and mix
  • Step 4
    Pour off some of the buttermilk into flour and mix in to a paste thinker then a batter. Take chicken and press paste into chicken
  • Step 5
    Place chicken in preheated 375° air fryer skin side up. After 10 minutes spritz some oil on to the top side . Continue to cook 20 minutes
  • Step 6
    Flip chicken being careful to not tear crust spritz bottom side up now with oil and cook 10- 15 minutes untill Chicken is done internal temp 165°
