Ingredients For double dogs for two

  • 2
    zenner brand chicken sausage brats
  • ½ c
    sliced mushrooms
  • ¼ c
    sweet onions, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    real butter or ghee
  • ¼ c
    half and half
  • 2½ tsp
    dijon mustard
  • ¼ tsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    parmesan cheese
  • 1
    tomato, chopped
  • 1 md
    sweet potato,washed & punctured with fork
  • 1
    avocado, sliced or cubed
  • 2
    eggs-any way you like them

How To Make double dogs for two

    Cook sweet potato to slightly soften it. Cut into thick slices and lay in a greased 1½ qt. baking dish.

    Cut sausages in half lengthwise; brown in skillet. Lay vertically over the potatoes.

    Saute' the onions in butter in a medium saucepan. Add the mushrooms and garlic powder. Stir in half & half and mustard; bring to a boil. Cook and stir until slightly thickened. Pour over sausages, sprinkle with shaved Parmesan cheese.

    Bake, uncovered at 450°F. for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

    Garnish with the tomatoes and avocado and eggs any way you like them. Goldenrod eggs would be beautiful!
