This meatball recipe is one that I like to use when company is coming over. I comes from my friend Jewell. This recipe would be great for a tailgate party. See note.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1
    egg
  • 4 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped onion
  • ·
    dash of pepper
  • 1 c
    pineapple juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    cooking oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp
    white vinegar
  • 6 Tbsp
    water
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 4 slice
    pineapple cut in pieces
  • 3 large
    green peppers cut in lengthwise strips

How to Make SWEET AND SOUR BEEF BALLS

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix ground beef,egg 1 tbsp. cornstarch, salt, onion, and pepper. form into balls.
  2. Cook in small amounts of fat in skillet until brown, drain.
  3. Add pine apple juice to oil in saucepan, bring to a boil over low heat.
  4. Mix remaining cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar cook until thickened stirring constantly.
  5. Add meat balls pineapple, and peppers heat thoroughly. Serve hot, Yield 6 to 8 servings.
  6. NOTE: This recipe can be made ahead of time just heat before serving.
