    beef chuck roast trimmed
  • 3 Tbsp
    basil dried
  • 3 Tbsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 pkg
    onion soup mix
  • 8 to 10
    sandwich buns, split horizonally

How to Make ITALIAN BEEF SANDWICHES

Step-by-Step

  1. Place roast in slow cooker.
  2. Combine basil, oregano, and water pour over roast.
  3. Sprinkle with soup mix, cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or until meat is tender.
  4. Remove meat shred with a fork and keep warm. Strain broth, skim off fat.
  5. Serve meat on rolls, use broth for dipping if desired.
