- 3 pounds beef chuck roast trimmed
- 3 tablespoons basil dried
- 3 tablespoons oregano, dried
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 package onion soup mix
- 8 to 10 - sandwich buns, split horizonally
How To Make italian beef sandwiches

Step 1Place roast in slow cooker.

Step 2Combine basil, oregano, and water pour over roast.

Step 3Sprinkle with soup mix, cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or until meat is tender.

Step 4Remove meat shred with a fork and keep warm. Strain broth, skim off fat.

Step 5Serve meat on rolls, use broth for dipping if desired.
