I have made this Italian steaks for 30 years, my family loves it and we never have leftovers. Just add a salad, and crusty bread and what a great meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 - beef loin ( family size ) cut into 1/4" by 3" strips
  • 2 - bell peppers cut into thin strips
  • 2 - onion cut into thin strips
  • 2-3 - celery ribs chopped
  • 1 can ( 16 oz ) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 - garlic clove minced
  • 2 teaspoons italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • - white rice cooked according to package directions

How To Make grandma donna's italian steak over rice

  • Step 1
    Cut stake into strips, place in a skillet with one teaspoon oil, brown on all sides , then drain. Place the steak in a crock pot set on high.
  • Step 2
    Cut up the onions, green pepper, and celery, and place on top of the steaks.
  • Step 3
    Mix together the remaining ingredients, and pour over the steak and vegetables. With the crock pot set on high, cover and let cook for 4-6 hours.
  • Step 4
    Make white rice according to packsge directions and pour steak mixture over rice and enjoy.
