Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 2 large whole green bell peppers, sliced lengthwise
- 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
- 16 ounces beef gravy
- 28 ounces can diced italian tomatoes,drained (drink juice)
- 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 1 cup cooked white rice
- 4 - whole pita pockets, cut in 1/2 to make 8 pockets

Step 1In large skillet over medium high heat, brown ground beef; drain and return to skillet. Stir in green peppers, onion, and beef gravy. Simmer until peppers are tender, about 15 minutes. Add tomatoes; simmer 5 minutes longer. Remove from heat and add white wine vinegar and rice. Stir until blended. Slice pita pockets in 1/2. Spoon ground beef mixture into each half of pita and serve.
