chorizo jalapeno cheddar burger

A wonderful spicy burger with great flavors. Top with your favorite toppings. I usually top with some avocado slices, lettuce, tomato and mayo.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground chuck
  • 1 pound chorizo (mexican not spanish)
  • 3-4 - jalapeno peppers
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese

How To Make chorizo jalapeno cheddar burger

  • Step 1
    Blanch your jalapeno's for a few minutes in boiling water. Remove top and seeds. Mince into small peices.
  • Step 2
    Cut cheddar cheese into tiny cubes. You can use shredded but I find the cheese tends to get a little lost when using shredded cheese. I like biting into the gooey melted pockets of the cheddar cheese.
  • Step 3
    In a mixing bowl combine your hamburger, chorizo, jalapeno's, and cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Make into patties and cook to preferred doneness.
