Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 pound mild sausage
- 1 can 29 oz. kidney beans with liquid
- 1 can 29 oz. pinto beans with liquid
- 1 cup onion, diced (~1 medium onion)
- 1/4 cup diced celery (1 stalk)
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 can 29 oz. tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup diced gree chili (2 chilies)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
- 2 cups water
- 3 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
How To Make meat and bean chili

Step 1brown ground beef and sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Drain off the fat. Using a fork, crumble the meat into small pieces.

Step 2In a large pot, combine the meat plus all the remaining ingredients. Bring to a simmer over low heat. Cook, stirring every 15 minutes or so, for 3 hours, Serves about 12.
