Japanese Iced Sencha Tea- Cool brew

The cool brew method used for this Japanese tea yields a tasty and refreshing drink, that is low in caffeine but high in flavor. To make this tea, you will need a pitcher or teapot with a built in strainer. Also, allow enough time for steeping in order to get the best flavor.

sencha tea leaves, loose
1 l
water, cool


1Place loose tea leaves in a pitcher or teapot with a strainer piece to contain the leaves.
2Pour cool water over tea. Let steep in the refrigerator for a minimum of 3 hours.
3Shake pitcher softly, horizontally, to get an even flavor. Serve as is or over ice.
