We all need to drink more water, at least 8 glasses or more a day. Sometimes it is just hard to do, especially if that craving for a soda or ice tea hits you! You could always drink flavored water, but those pre-packaged bottles of water always leave me with the feeling that something is missing. Here is a recipe to make your own refreshing and delicious flavored water. It makes 8 1/2 cups. I make it by the pitcher, and when it is gone, I know that I have my quota of water for the day. Use whatever combinations you wish. Try some berries for fruit flavored water. Enjoy!

  • 8 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    fresh peeled and grated ginger
  • 1 medium
    cucumber peeled and thin sliced
  • 1 medium
    lemon washed and thin sliced
  • 12 small
    spearmint leaves

Step-by-Step

  1. This water is so refreshing and delicious. It goes down smooth so for those of us who have a little problem getting those 8 glasses down, that is a good thing! Change it up however you wish to what you like. This is one of my favorites.
  2. Use a glass pitcher, preferably like the one I used that has a small opening in the spout. That will prevent the fruits and vegetables from pouring into your glass. Store the pitcher of water in the fridge.
  3. How to make the water:
    Add all the ingredients and water to the pitcher and stir. I just leave the mint leaves on the stem. Chill in the fridge for about an hour and ENJOY!
