How to Make El Ponche ( spiked hot milk)
- simmer milk with cinnamon and anise star, covered as to let the flavors infuse.
- in a mug, put in the yolk and vanilla
- here comes the tricky part....with a spoon very slowly start putting in the warm milk as to NOT cook the egg...after you have incorporated about 2-3 tablespoons by stirring...then discard the cinnamon and anise star and while stirring put in the rest of the milk....add the shot of yum (I mean rum)and sugar to taste. ENJOY and night-night you go.
