My mom used to make this for us as kids. I use cool whip on the top, but it can also be done with a meringue. Just prepare it in an oven proof baking dish and spread your favorite meringue reicpe over the top and bake until slightly golden on top. MMM mmmmm!

Ingredients For easy and delicious banana pudding

  • 4 (3 oz) pkg
    cook & serve vanilla pudding
  • 30
    vanilla wafers
  • 4
    bananas
  • 1 (8 oz)
    container of frozen whipped topping, thawed

How To Make easy and delicious banana pudding

    Line the bottom of a clear glass bowl with 15 vanilla wafers, or enough to cover the bottom.

    Peel and slice 2 ripe bananas and layer slices over vanilla wafers.

    Prepare pudding according to package directions. Cool for five minutes.

    Pour half of pudding over bananas and vanilla wafers; Repeat layers with remaining bananas, wafers and pudding.

    Chill in refrigerator for 2-4 hours.

    Spread whipped topping over the top of pudding. Serve chilled.
