DELICIOUS !!!! For awhile I was making 10 of these pies for my church at the "Thanksgiving Dinner".

Ingredients
- - pie crust --- top & bottom
- 2 cups raisins
- 1 1/2 cups cold water
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 - juice of 2 lemons
- - lemon rind of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 - egg, beaten
How To Make raisin pie "1949"

Step 1Preheat oven: 450 degrees.... Prepare crust & place in bottom of "deep dish" pie dish; set aside.

Step 2In medium saucepan add water, raisins, sugar & cornstarch. Cook until thickened. Remove from heat- stir in the lemon juice, lemon rind, butter & beaten egg.

Step 3Let cool somewhat & then spoon into bottom pie crust. Place a top crust on & prick with fork to make holes. if desired sprinkle top with a little sugar. Bake for 25 minutes.
