How to Make RAISIN PIE "1949"
- Preheat oven: 450 degrees.... Prepare crust & place in bottom of "deep dish" pie dish; set aside.
- In medium saucepan add water, raisins, sugar & cornstarch. Cook until thickened.
Remove from heat- stir in the lemon juice, lemon rind, butter & beaten egg.
- Let cool somewhat & then spoon into bottom pie crust. Place a top crust on & prick with fork to make holes. if desired sprinkle top with a little sugar.
Bake for 25 minutes.
