no bake raisin sour cream pie
You just never know what you are going to find when you go through someone else's recipe box. Stephanie found this one in Mom's drawer and I thought it sounded a little old fashioned, a little exotic, and a little wonderful, too. Here it is!

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 - whole eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups dairy sour cream
- 1 cup raisins (light or dark)
- 1 - lemon, juice and zest
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- OPTIONAL -- EXTRA SPICEY:
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
How To Make no bake raisin sour cream pie

Step 1Blend together sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Combine with beaten eggs, sour cream, raisins, spice/s, grated rind and lemon juice,

Step 2Cook and stir over hot water in a double boiler until thick

Step 3Stir in the walnuts

Step 5Sprinkle the top with additional grated rind if desired.

Step 6Chill for about 2 hours in refrigerator

Step 8NOTE: If you plan on making meringue -- Use 3 eggs and put the yolks in the filling and the whites in the meringue.
