1 tspbaking soda dissolved water

9 large9 inch single crust
How to Make My Mama's Shoefly pie
- Combine Flour,brown sugar, and butter; making crumbs either by hand or using a pastry blender. Set aside 1/2 cup crumbs to put on top of the finished pie.
Combine molasses, hot water, egg, and baking soda dissolved in water; mix well.Stir crumbs into liquid. Pour resulting mixture into pie crust and top with left over crumbs. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.
