- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 - egg
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- pinch salt
- 1 - pastry for double-crust 8-inch pie
How To Make french canadian sugar pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 F.

Step 2Mix butter and brown sugar. Stir in egg. Sift flour with salt and add to the sugar mixture; stirring to incorporate thoroughly.

Step 3Add milk. Mix until smooth. Pour in bottom crust and set top crust in place, crimping edges and cutting a 1/2-inch hole in middle of top crust.

Step 4Bake for 45 minutes, or until set. Remove and allow to completely cool on wire rack.
