It is very tasty, and the nuts gives it a special crunch. The recipe is from my BETTER HOMES & GARDENS CHRISTmas COOKING FROM THE HEART cookbooks.
The addition of cool whip or whipped topping with a sprinkle of mini chocolate sprinkles adds just the right amount of added creaminess.
This pie is simple & easy. If you have never tried chess pie, then this is the one to try, you will be hooked on the very first bite. Chocolate lovers take note, you cant loose with this one. Hubby loved it

Ingredients

1refrigerated rolled pie crust, or make your own

2 cgranulated sugar

1/4 ccocoa powder

1 Tbspcorn meal, i used yellow

1 Tbspall purpose flour

1/2 tspsalt

4 largeeggs, room temperature slightly beaten

1/2 cmilk ( i used evaporated)

1/2 cbutter melted (1 stick)

1 cchopped nuts, ( i used pecans)

2 tspvanilla extract

·whipped cream or topping, (optional)

- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES F. Shape pie crust into pie plate and set aside till needed.
