I found this recipe on internet. I tweaked it a little to make two pies. Sent one to Home Depot with my husband and it was gone within the first 30 minutes. So I thought I better post it.

chocolate chips
1 1/2 c
1/4 c
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
1 c
1 1/2 Tbsp
vanilla extract

How to Make Chocolate Buttermilk Pie


  • 1This is the lazy man's version of this pie. You mix all the dry ingredients together except the choc chips. Then you add the wet ingredients.
  • 2If you want the whole pie to look chocolate melt the chips. You can tell I just added them last. Stir and pour into two prepared pie shells. I put tin foil over the edges of the crust so it would not get to dark in the oven.
  • 3Place in 325 degree oven. Bake for 1 hour and 15 min. Let set for 1 hour before serving. Keep in refrigerator. Can be served warm or cold.
