I picked up this recipe from a flyer from our local grocery market. It is wonderful...I have been making this since 2001.

Ingredients

  • - pastry for 9-inch two crust pie
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 cups pared & sliced tart apples (cortland)
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • - slices of butter
  • - milk

How To Make apple - cranberry pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven: 425 degrees. In large bowl- combine sugars, flour, & cinnamon. Add the two fruits; mix well
  • Step 2
    Turn into pastry shell. Dot with butter. Cover with second crust, seal edges & cut slits in top crust.
  • Step 3
    Brush lightly with milk & sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
