alma's pie crust
This is my Grandmothers recipe. It makes enough dough for several pie crust. She would roll up individual balls of dough and freeze it to use later. All you do is defrost and you are ready to make pie's. She also used this as the crust for her fried pies, oh, they were sooo good!Love you Grandmother....

Ingredients
- 7 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup crisco
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 1/2 cups ice water (more if needed)
How To Make alma's pie crust

Step 1Mix flour and Crisco with a pastry blended or fork until like cornmeal.

Step 2Add salt and mix well.

Step 3Pour in water and work the dough with your hands until well mixed. The dough will be very stiff, add more water as needed for right consistency. Just a little tiny bit at a time !

Step 4Place in refrigerator until ready to use, better if it rest overnight.

Step 5***You may freeze this pie dough until you need it. Just wrap amount of dough you will need for a pie crust and wrap in plastic wrap then a ziplock.
