- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- dash - of salt
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- CREAMY MERINGUE
- 2 large egg whites
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Step 1BAKE CRUST FIRST. CAN USE GRAHAM CRACKER, IF DESIRED. ALESE USED A 9" DEEP DISH.

Step 2MIX SUGAR, FLOUR AND COCOA IN EGGS AFTER THEY ARE BEATEN.

Step 3ADD MILK AND SALT.

Step 4COOK 10-12 MINUTES, OR UNTIL THICKENED. ADD MARGARINE AND VANILLA. SPOON INTO CRUST OF CHOICE.

Step 5BEAT EGG WHITES AND CREAM OF TARTAR UNTIL FOAMY.

Step 6ADD SUGAR, VERY SLOWLY. BEAT UNTIL VERY STIFF PEAKS FORM. STIR IN VANILLA.

Step 7SPOON OVER PIE. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES UNTIL BROWN. SERVE WARM.
