This is great pie for that summertime brunch with family or friends ...It tastes like you would expect..fresh peaches cool to the last bite. My family loves these fresh jello pies...Last week I made a raspberry one.. we loved that one too.... These pies are so easy to make ..you just can't go wrong...enjoy!

Ingredients
- FILLING:
- 6 medium fresh peaches, peeled and sliced (about 3 cups)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 cups ice cubes
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 3 ounces package orange jello
- 1 - 9-inch baked pie shell,cooled
- TOPPING:
- 8 ounces package cream cheese,softened to room temperature
- 6 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk or just enough to make mixture spreadable
How To Make a gem of a fresh peach pie

Step 1Heat oven to 375 ^. Make and bake pie crust. Cool.

Step 2FILLING: Peel and slice peaches(you can use canned peaches if desired 16 oz. can very well drained.)Set aside.

Step 3Dissolve jello in boiling water. Add ice cubes and stir constantly until jello starts to thicken about 5 minutes. Remove any unmelted ice. Add almond extract and peaches.

Step 4Pour into pie shell. Chill until firm about 4 hours. Garnish with topping, if desired you can sprinkle with toasted almonds.

Step 5TOPPING: In a medium combine all ingredients and whisk until smooth. Adding enough milk to make a smooth and spreadable topping. Keep refrigerated.
