How to Make Vanilla Sugar
- In an airtight jar, place 1 or 2 vanilla beans. I always use the hulls that are left once I've split and scraped the seeds for another use. They still have lots of great flavor and aroma to give!
- Pour sugar into jar over beans. Close tightly and leave sealed for 3 days. Use anywhere you would use sugar: in your coffee, tea, baking, etc., as noted above.
- Once you have used about half the jar, top off the sugar, leave for 3 days, and you will have a replenished stash.
