Ingredients
-
1 Tbspcoconut oil + enough to oil your hands

1 1/2 ccrispy rice cereal, gluten free

1/2 coat bran
-
1 cwalnuts, lightly chopped and toasted in a pan only until it releases it's smell
-
1 1/4 coatmeal (regular...not instant)

1/2 cdried cranberries or a mix of blueberry/cranberry
-
2 Tbspginger, crystallized and minced
-
1 cbrown rice syrup
-
1/4 cnatural cane sugar
-
1 tspvanilla
-
1 tspsea salt
How to Make The Best EVER Grain-ola Bars
- Lightly grease a baking tray with coconut oil.
- Toast the walnuts in a dry skillet for about 3-4 minutes. Toss all dry ingredients, nuts and fruit together in a large bowl.
- Boil the brown rice syrup, sugar, vanilla, and salt over medium heat for 4 minutes (stirring constantly).
- Quickly add syrup to dry ingredients and mix together. It is very sticky. Pour onto the cookie sheet and press using lightly-oiled hands. Keep in mind you don't want them too thick or too thin 1/2" thickness is just about right. When cool, cut into bars and wrap in individual plastic wrap servings.
