These are the Best Butter Tarts EVER, they are so easy to make and one of my Mom's recipes too. Hope you enjoy these as much as my family does

Ingredients

  • - 2 eggs
  • - 1 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • - 4 tablespoons hot water
  • - 1/4 cup melted butter
  • - 1/4 tsp salt
  • - 1 tsp vanilla
  • - 24 tart shells store brand or your own recipe

How To Make mom's butter tarts

  • Step 1
    Pre heat oven to 350. I use my kitchen aid mixer to do this :) Mix together brown sugar and butter well, add eggs, hot water, salt and vanilla beat for about a minute or so till well mixed. Place your tart shells if store brand on a cookie sheet, this is were you can add, raisins, pecans, walnuts, or coconut, I place a few right in the shells. Then spoon in your mixture into each shell. Bake for about 15-20 min or till set.
