How to Make Mom's Butter Tarts

  1. Pre heat oven to 350. I use my kitchen aid mixer to do this :) Mix together brown sugar and butter well, add eggs, hot water, salt and vanilla beat for about a minute or so till well mixed. Place your tart shells if store brand on a cookie sheet, this is were you can add, raisins, pecans, walnuts, or coconut, I place a few right in the shells. Then spoon in your mixture into each shell. Bake for about 15-20 min or till set.
