easy butterscotch glaze
Just 3 simple ingredients are all you need to make this delicious glaze for your cake. You may want to try other flavors of chips to make other flavors of cake, like dark chocolate, milk chocolate, peanut butter or white chips, or mint chips. It is so simple and easy to make, you will wonder what took you so long to do it, you can even use evaporated milk and still get the same consistency. Add vanilla extract or other flavors of extracts or flavorings for the flavor you need in the recipe. Hope you like. If you don't have a double boiler use a skillet half filled with water as I did.

How To Make easy butterscotch glaze
-
Step 1NOTE: THIS RECIPE IS BEST DONE USING A DOUBLE BOILER. If you don't own a double boiler, fill a skillet that is larger than the base of the saucepan, half filled with water and place over medium high heat. Now add the chips to a small sauce pan.
-
Step 2Add in the heavy whipping cream, beginning with 1/4 cup, if it appears that you need more liquid add an additional tablespoon, that is equivalent to 1/3 cup.
-
Step 3Heat and stir over boiling water until chips begin to dissolve into heavy whipping cream, stirring until mixture becomes smooth and can be drizzled over cake.
-
Step 4Drizzle as much or as little as desired over cake, it is so tasty and delicious.
