I love banana bread with or without nuts. I double this recipe and it makes 3 large loafs, I leave one out to eat , and freeze the rest for another day.

Ingredients For donna's banana nut bread

  • 1/2 c
    butter ( 1 stick ) at room temp.
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking sda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3
    ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 1/2 c
    walnuts chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    cinnamo
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg

How To Make donna's banana nut bread

    Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9x5" loaf pan.

    In a mixing bowl, combine the butter, and sugar, mix well. Add the salt and eggs, vanilla, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and bananas.add cinnamon, and nutmeg Mix well add the walnuts and mix.

    Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 50 minuters. ot until toothpick comes out clean.
