Carmel Chocolate Brownies
60light carmels, unwrapped
1/2 cevaporated milk
1 boxcake mix, german chocolate
1/3 cevaporated milk
1 cchopped pecans or walnuts
3/4 cmelted butter
1bag chocolate chips
How to Make Carmel Chocolate Brownies
- take carmels and 1/2 cup evaporated milk. cook over low heat until carmels are melted and smooth, stirring constantly and then set aside.
- in a large bowl combine: german chocolate cake mix, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, 1 cup chopped pecans, 3/4 cup melted butter.
mix well and press 3/4 of the dough into a 9x13 inch baking pan. bake for 8 minutes at 350 degrees, then remove from oven.
sprinkle 6 ounces chocolate chips over the crust, and spread carmel mixture over the chocolate chips.
- now with the remaining cake dough, crumble over the top of the carmel layer and bake for 18-20 minutes, and cool and cut into bars.
