Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup baking cocoa
- 1 cup canola oil
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup 2% milk
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts, divided
- 14 ounces caramels
- 14 ounces can sweetened condensed milk
How To Make caramel center brownies with walnuts

Step 1In a large bowl beat sugar, cocoa, oil, eggs and milk.

Step 2Combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add to egg mixture until well blended.

Step 3Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts, reserving 1/2 cup for center of brownies.

Step 4Spoon 2/3 of batter into a 9x13 pan, and bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

Step 5Meanwhile put unwrapped caramels in a large glass bowl with the sweetened condensed milk. Zap for 3 minutes occasionally stirring until caramels are melted.

Step 6Pour Carmel layer over baked brownie layer.

Step 7Sprinkle walnuts over all.

Step 8Drop remaining batter by teaspoons over the Carmel layer, smooth the chocolate, and then carefully swirl with a knife.

Step 9Bake 35-40 minutes longer or until a toothpick inserted in the center does out with moist crumbs, do not over bake.

Step 10Cool on a wire rack.
