brown sugar fudge
This is an old recipe passed down from my Grandmother, Mary Bess Laubscher, who lived through The Great Depression as a child. She made some amazing food, especially desserts!

Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 stick butter. melted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 cup nut meat
How To Make brown sugar fudge

Step 1In a sauce pan, at med to med high, melt butter then add brown sugar, stirring until melted.

Step 2Add milk and bring to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Step 3Once cooled, stir in confectioners sugar and nut meat. Mix well and spread into a greased, rectangle or square, glass dish and chill until set.

Step 4Once completely chilled and set, cut into squares and serve.
