This is an old recipe passed down from my Grandmother, Mary Bess Laubscher, who lived through The Great Depression as a child. She made some amazing food, especially desserts!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 stick butter. melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 cup nut meat

How To Make brown sugar fudge

  • Step 1
    In a sauce pan, at med to med high, melt butter then add brown sugar, stirring until melted.
  • Step 2
    Add milk and bring to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Step 3
    Once cooled, stir in confectioners sugar and nut meat. Mix well and spread into a greased, rectangle or square, glass dish and chill until set.
  • Step 4
    Once completely chilled and set, cut into squares and serve.
