This is an old recipe passed down from my Grandmother, Mary Bess Laubscher, who lived through The Great Depression as a child. She made some amazing food, especially desserts!

How to Make Brown Sugar Fudge


  1. In a sauce pan, at med to med high, melt butter then add brown sugar, stirring until melted.
  2. Add milk and bring to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  3. Once cooled, stir in confectioners sugar and nut meat. Mix well and spread into a greased, rectangle or square, glass dish and chill until set.
  4. Once completely chilled and set, cut into squares and serve.
