How to Make Amish Caramel Frosting


  1. Cook butter and brown sugar over low heat until bubbly. Boil for 1 minute.
  2. Next, slowly add milk while stirring and boil again.
  3. Upon boiling, immediately remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
  4. Then add vanilla and powdered sugar until spreadable.
  5. Recipe can be doubled if you want thicker frosting.
