CARAMEL SAUCE:

1 c
sugar
2 tsp
lemon juice
3/4 c
heavy cream
2 Tbsp
bourbon
2 Tbsp
butter

How to Make Easy Caramel Floats

Step-by-Step

  • 1Bring sugar and lemon juice to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring to desolve sugar. Continue to cook, swirling the pan but not stirring, until amber.
  • 2Remove from heat and carefully stir in heavy cream and bourbon. Return to heat and whisk until smooth; swirl in butter.
  • 3Put 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream in each glass and fill with root beer; drizzle with the caramel sauce.
