    baking powder

    strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp

    sweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (optional)

How to Make Blueberry Strawberry Buckle


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
  3. In a small bowl, cream 1/4 cup of the butter and 1/2 cup of the sugar. Blend in egg and vanilla.
  4. In a small mixing bowl, stir together 1 cup of the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with milk; Stir until blended.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  7. Arrange fruit over batter.
  8. In a small bowl, combine remaining sugar, remaining flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cut in remaining 1/4 cup of butter until mixture is crumbly.
  9. Sprinkle crumb mixture over fruit.
  10. Bake for 35 minutes.
  11. Serve with sweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.
